Many herbs are active against different types of microorganisms that cause various infections in the various body systems. Some of the herbs have general application being effective against infections in all parts of the body. Other herbs are more specific and act against infection in specific organ systems. The general antimicrobial herbs include garlic, lemon juice, aloe vera, neem (dongo yaro), phyllanthus muellerians (egugun eja, Yoruba), balsam pear (Mormodica charantia), horse radish, palm kernel oil (PKO), for fungal and viral infections. They are anti-microbial. These general anti-microbial herbs should be combined with the more specific herbs to treat specific infections. An anti-infection formula revealed to me by a friend and which I have found to be very effective is as follows: 500ml grape fruit juice, 5 bulb of garlic, 3 fingers of ginger, 4 bara fruit, small piece of potash - ako kaun (Yoruba), 50mls of lime juice, dried black tobacco, 4 pieces of wonderful kola. Mix all together and ferment for three days. Take one shot two times daily.
