LUNGWORT(Pulmonaria officinalis)

Common Name: Spotted lungwort, maple lungwort, Jerusalem cowslip, Jerusalem sage, spotted comfrey, oak lungs, lungmoss.
Part used: Entire plant
Medicinal Properties: Expectorant, demulcent, pectoral, mucilaginous.

Description and uses: Lungwort is a most valuable remedy for coughs, influenza, catarrh, colds, la grippe, lung troubles, bleeding lungs, and all bronchial troubles. It decreases the flow of menses when excessive. Use to wash ulcers and sores of all kinds. Take one-half to one teaspoonful of the liquid extract in a cup of water daily.
