Beef tea

250 g lean beef.                                              250 ml cold water

¼ teaspoon salt

1 Mince or chop meat finely. Put meat, water, and salt into saucepe.

2 Allow to stand covered for 10 – 15 minutes.

3 Stir over a gentle heat till liquid becomes brown and meat looks white. Do not allow to boil.

4 Strain and remove all fat by pressing pieces of absorbent paper over the surface of the beef tea. Serve hot.
