SMALLPOX

Smallpox is an infectious illness due to a virus. Smallpox resembles chicken pox in many respects, but is a more serious illness which carries a considerable death rate. The only source of smallpox now is research laboratories since this once world wide disease has been eradicated. Infants are no longer vaccinated routinely.
